We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and optimise supply chain processes.
The ideal candidate will have a 'hands on' approach to delivering strict timescales. Have experience in supervising a team. A comprehensive understanding of logistics systems, and a proactive approach to process improvement. Working closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to grow the business and adapt to changing climates.

Duties
Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations in shipping, receiving, and inventory management for multiple B2C and B2B clients.
Oversee the utilisation of Warehouse Management Systems (Mintsoft) and other 3rd party shipping platforms.
Manage transportation logistics, including liaising with 3PL providers and coordinating freight schedules.
Monitor warehouse activities, identifying areas for cost reduction, performance and process enhancement.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and increasing productivity.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Maintain accurate shipping & receiving records, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
Skills
Proven experience supervising within a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong understanding of supply chain management, including logistics, shipping & receiving, and transportation systems.
Forklift experience essential. Certification can be refreshed or provided for Flexi Forklift
Proficiency in using various Warehouse Management Systems.
Experience liaising with 3PL providers and managing third-party logistics operations.
Ability to implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
Competence in operating forklifts safely and effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation.
Comfortable making quick decisions that ensure strict deadlines are met.
