Nisbets Limited are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Automation Engineering Technician to join our Operations team based at our fulfilment centre in Avonmouth, Bristol.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team, supporting the maintenance and performance of our new, cutting-edge warehouse automation systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of robotic technology, conveyor systems, and boxing machines, helping us deliver on our ambitious growth plans.
This role will be based at our Avonmouth site, working Monday to Friday from 1pm to 10pm, in line with operational shifts.
Key Accountabilities
Carry out planned maintenance and inspections in accordance with company policies and manufacturer guidelines.
Respond to and resolve reactive faults, identifying root causes and supporting preventative measures.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
Collaborate with the wider automation team to provide cover and support across operational shifts.
Support general maintenance tasks when required, balancing priorities effectively.
Continuously develop skills and knowledge through on-the-job learning.
Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required
Academic qualifications relevant to engineering.
Working towards an electrical and/or mechanical engineering qualification.
Experience in warehouse automation is desirable.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills (desirable).
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
A team player with strong communication skills and a drive for results.
Positive, proactive, and safety-conscious approach to work.
