Warehouse Manager -- Aylesbury (New 25,000 sq ft DC)

Aylesbury (Aston Clinton area, HP22) - easily accessible from Milton Keynes, Luton, and Oxford.

A fast-growing e-commerce agency is opening a brand-new 25,000 sq ft distribution centre in Aylesbury. We're seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to launch the site, build a high-performing team, and lead operations from day one. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new facility and set the standards for success.

What you'll do

Lead, coach, and develop the warehouse team, including supervisors and 20+ operatives. Oversee all warehouse and logistics operations: inbound, storage, pick/pack, dispatch, and returns. Ensure compliance with company, customer, and legal standards, including Health & Safety. Manage labour planning and rotas to cover a 364-day operation. Monitor KPIs (accuracy, speed, cost) and deliver continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Contribute to strategic projects and support the site's long-term growth.

What you'll bring

10+ years' experience managing a mid-size warehouse (~25,000 sq ft) with 20+ staff. Proven leadership skills with experience training and developing supervisors. Strong background in warehouse management (FMCG, e-commerce, or 3PL preferred). Essential Health & Safety knowledge; IOSH/NEBOSH or FLT licence a plus. Confident with Excel, WMS, and communication tools. Effective communicator with strong stakeholder and client management skills. Experience of unionised sites or transport knowledge desirable
