Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our commercial catering equipment warehouse. This role involves managing a small team, ensuring efficient stock handling, maintaining warehouse organisation, and overseeing the safe and timely processing of incoming and outgoing goods.

Key Responsibilities:



Team Management & Supervision:

Lead and manage a team of 3-5 warehouse staff, ensuring productivity, safety, and high performance. Allocate daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide hands-on support where needed. Train, develop, and support warehouse staff in line with operational needs.

Order Fulfilment:

Oversee the picking, packing, and dispatching of customer orders. Ensure all orders are accurately prepared and dispatched on time. Work closely with the sales and logistics teams to coordinate delivery schedules and meet customer expectations.

Warehouse Organisation & Inventory:

Maintain a clean, well-organised, and safe warehouse environment. Oversee stock control, including stock takes and inventory accuracy. Ensure all items are correctly stored, labelled, and accounted for in the inventory system.

Goods-In & Container Unloading:

Coordinate and oversee the unloading of containers and incoming deliveries. Ensure all goods are received, checked, and stored appropriately. Use forklifts and pump trucks safely and efficiently for loading/unloading and stock movement.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Enforce compliance with health and safety policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of H&S checks, risk assessments, and equipment maintenance.

Equipment & Facility Management:

Ensure forklifts, pump trucks, and other warehouse equipment are regularly maintained and operated safely. Report any issues with equipment or facilities and ensure timely resolution.

Process Improvement:

Identify and implement improvements in warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Support the development of warehouse SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Supervisor, ideally in a catering equipment or similar industrial environment. Strong leadership and people management skills. Experience operating forklifts (valid forklift license preferred). Knowledge of inventory management systems and basic IT skills (e.g., email, spreadsheets). Excellent organisational and time-management abilities. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: 16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
