Role Overview

Position: Warehouse Manager

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:00-20:00 (Possible 1 Saturday per Month)

This is a hands-on leadership role within a small family-run logistics business. The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations, lead staff, maintain stock flow and accuracy, support picking processes, and ensure Health & Safety compliance. The role requires a proactive, organised individual comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. The Warehouse Manager will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with transport and office teams.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all inbound and outbound goods, including loading and unloading Organise and manage daily warehouse workflow and dispatch manifests Lead and support warehouse operatives, ensuring tasks are clearly assigned Maintain stock accuracy, storage layout, rotation and traceability Maintain warehouse cleanliness, hygiene standards, and safe working environment Own and manage Health & Safety compliance within the warehouse, including inspections, audits, incident reporting, and PPE checks Manage staff rotas, holiday planning, and absence cover Support and oversee picking processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and deadlines are met Liaise with office, transport, drivers and customers re: load progress and priorities Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions Provide hands-on help during busy periods (Including Picking, loading & unloading)

Skills & Attributes Required

Minimum 2-3 year's experience in warehouse, logistics, or team-leader role Strong organisational and planning ability Experience managing rotas, holidays, and staffing cover Knowledge of Health & Safety practices and compliance Effective communicator with warehouse and office teams Physically able to support manual handling / cold-store tasks Calm, solution-focused approach during operational pressure Ability to coach, support, and motivate team members Confident decision-maker able to manage priorities without constant supervision

Pay: 42,000.00-45,000.00 per year
