The Role
We're looking for a hands-on, organised and proactive
Warehouse Manager / Operative
to take charge of our warehouse operations in Woodmancott. You'll oversee the smooth running of all goods in and out, manage stock and inventory systems, ensure FIFO and traceability are followed, and lead the picking, packing, and dispatch of both trade and D2C orders.
This is a varied, practical role at the heart of our operations -- ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving systems, and keeping things running efficiently day to day.
Key Responsibilities
Goods In / Out
Receive, check and record all incoming raw materials and packaging
Manage outbound shipments to trade and D2C customers
Maintain full traceability of all stock movements
Order Fulfilment
Pick, pack and despatch trade and D2C orders accurately and efficiently
Ensure all orders meet dispatch deadlines and presentation standards
Liaise with couriers and hauliers to book, track and troubleshoot deliveries
Stock & Inventory Management
Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems
Implement and monitor FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation
Carry out regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies
Support production by ensuring timely supply of ingredients and packaging
Warehouse Organisation
Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and compliant with food safety standards
Manage storage, palletisation, and labelling to support traceability
Identify and implement improvements to workflow and efficiency
Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the warehouse.
About You
Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or dispatch (ideally within food, drink, or FMCG)
Excellent organisational skills and close attention to detail
Confident using stock management systems and spreadsheets
Understanding of FIFO and traceability requirements
Positive, practical and proactive attitude
Forklift licence or experience desirable (training can be provided)
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
