Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimisation. This role is essential for ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Duties

Manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders. Supervise warehouse staff, providing training and support to enhance performance and productivity. Implement and monitor warehouse management systems (WMS) to optimise inventory control and order fulfilment. Collaborate with transportation management systems (TMS) to coordinate logistics and improve delivery efficiency. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and implement strategies for profit & loss management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse to enhance operational efficiency. Maintain effective communication with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Utilise ERP systems for data analysis and reporting on warehouse performance metrics.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes. Familiarity with profit & loss management principles and the ability to analyse financial data related to warehouse operations. Experience supervising teams, fostering a collaborative work environment while driving accountability. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, with a track record of implementing successful changes in warehouse operations. Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, as well as familiarity with forklift operation. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A commitment to continuous improvement practices that enhance operational efficiency within the warehouse environment. Familiarity with AS400 systems is an advantage but not essential.
