37,500 per annum (increasing to 40,000 after successful 6-month probation)

Hours:

5 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00am - 5:00pm)

Holiday:

Role Overview



We are seeking an experienced and driven

Warehouse Manager

to oversee all warehouse operations, including imported items, UK stock management, staff leadership, and order picking for wholesale and branch replenishment.

This is a senior hands-on role with full responsibility for the smooth running of the warehouse, including being a key holder.

The Warehouse Manager will be supported by Supervisors who will handle delegated tasks, however the Warehouse Manager will remain fully accountable for performance, accuracy, compliance, and overall warehouse operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesStock Management & Control



Oversee all imported goods from receipt through storage and distribution Manage UK stock levels, movements, and availability Ensure accurate stock records and physical stock control Monitor and reduce damages, shortages, and discrepancies Ensure correct storage, labelling, and stock rotation (FIFO where applicable) Liaise with imports, transport, buying, and finance teams

Warehouse Operations



Manage daily warehouse activity including: Goods-in and checking deliveries Put-away and storage Picking, packing, and dispatch Ensure accurate and timely picking for: Wholesale customer orders Branch replenishment orders Maintain high standards of efficiency, organisation, and cleanliness Implement and enforce warehouse procedures and best practices

Staff Management



Lead, train, and manage warehouse operatives and supervisors Plan rotas and staffing levels to meet operational demand Delegate daily workloads to supervisors and teams Monitor performance and conduct probation and performance reviews Maintain discipline and enforce company policies

Health, Safety & Compliance



Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations Maintain a safe and clean working environment Carry out risk assessments and safety checks Investigate accidents, near misses, and damages Ensure staff are fully trained in safe working practices

Systems & Reporting



Use warehouse systems (WMS/ERP) to manage stock and operations Monitor KPIs such as stock accuracy, picking accuracy, productivity, and damages Report performance and issues to senior management Support continuous improvement initiatives

Availability & Working Pattern



The Warehouse Manager will be a

key holder

, responsible for opening and closing the warehouse As a senior responsible person, the role requires: Availability by phone during weekends Availability before and after shift hours for urgent matters During key seasonal periods such as

Christmas and Eid

, the warehouse will be closed for designated days. To support business demand, work will be made up

before and after these periods

, including working selected weekends where required.

Standard Warehouse Manager Duties (Including but not limited to):



Managing inbound and outbound logistics Cost control and efficiency improvements Managing peak periods and seasonal volume increases Handling operational issues and urgent challenges Supporting audits and inspections Improving warehouse layout, flow, and productivity Ensuring customer service standards are met internally and externally

Requirements



Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar senior warehouse role Strong leadership and people management skills Experience in high-volume warehouse and picking operations Highly organised, reliable, and accountable Comfortable working long shifts in a fast-paced environment Good IT and system skills (WMS/ERP experience preferred) Strong problem-solving and communication skills
