Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and optimise all aspects of warehouse activities within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising staff, and implementing process improvements to ensure efficient supply chain management. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics systems. The Warehouse Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining safety standards, enhancing productivity, and supporting organisational growth.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfilment. Supervise and lead warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, to monitor stock levels, process orders, and generate reports. Implement continuous process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality. Co-manage and enforce Health & Safety regulations, ensuring compliance all warehouse and yard activities. Manage forklift operations safely and efficiently; organise staff training as necessary. Collaborate with supply chain teams to streamline logistics operations and improve overall workflow. Coordinate with shipping & receiving departments to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Proven management experience within a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics management, and transportation management systems. Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms highly desirable. Familiarity with 3PL providers, shipping & receiving procedures, and forklift operation certification. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Analytical mindset with the ability to make operational decisions with a practical mindset. Demonstrated capability in implementing continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse settings.
