Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient logistics processes. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, warehouse systems, and process optimisation to support business growth and operational excellence. The Warehouse Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining safety standards, improving workflows, and ensuring timely shipping and receiving activities.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfilment. Supervise warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to optimise team productivity. Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400, and transportation management systems to streamline processes. Manage 3PL providers and coordinate logistics activities to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Monitor profit & loss statements related to warehouse activities and implement strategies for process improvement. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Oversee forklift operations, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety protocols. Analyse operational data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workflow efficiency. Coordinate with procurement teams to manage stock levels effectively and reduce waste or excess inventory. Implement best practices in shipping & receiving procedures to optimise turnaround times.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and warehouse operations. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400, and transportation management systems is essential. Familiarity with 3PL providers, process improvement methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives. Hands-on experience with forklift operation and safety standards is required. Demonstrated ability to manage profit & loss accounts related to warehousing activities. Prior experience working with shipping & receiving processes and implementing process enhancements is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
