Job Description

We're looking for a hand on individual to take leadership of our Cheltenham warehouse, making sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our operations. You will manage and control your areas of responsibility in line with legislative requirements, best practice, KPI's and operational requirements. Through positive behaviour, attitude and effective communication you will be responsible for the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe storage, retrieval, and shipment of goods. You will be responsible for ensuring stock is accurately labelled and documented and co-ordinated with Inventory supporting stock reviews and audits.

Your responsibilities as a Warehouse Manager will be:

Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the warehouses Support the Operations Director to drive good communication, efficiency and accuracy. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation. Liaise with areas of expertise, suppliers and 3rd party logistics providers Liaise with procurement, inventory and operations teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations. Ensuring quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met Supporting the opening and closing of Commercial House Ensuring proper storage and rotation of goods in keeping with workflow and storage optimisation Co-ordinating with the Inventory Team to support audits and stock reviews. Overseeing stock control and implementing aged stock process Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and ISO 45001 Producing shipping/dispatch documentation for shipments Co-ordinating inter-branch transfers and stock deliveries to key logistic partners Identify areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements. Co-ordinating the daily recycling and booking additional collections as required to maintain the working environment and comply with ISO 14001 Being responsible for the Warehouse Best Practice, maintaining scheduled audits and communicating changes to process.

About you

Previous experience of managing warehouse/distribution operations A proactive attitude with a passion for warehousing Excellent interpersonal skills Extremely organised with a high level of attention to detail Resourceful problem solver with excellent trouble shooting skills Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal Knowledge and understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements Forklift experience or willingness to attain license Good IT skills and ability to analyse data
