Job Overview
At The Sausage Man, we're on the lookout for a a highly skilled and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee all stock storage, delivery, and organisation, ensuring every item is carefully recorded, itemised, and accounted for in our internal system. Your warehouse, your domain - the warehouse operates like a finely tuned machine under your guidance. You manage warehouse processes, people, and systems, all of which are the foundations of a well-organised department and the key to a successful organisation.
Summary of Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training and support as needed.
Implement and maintain effective business processes to enhance warehouse operational efficiency.
Manage inventory control, ensuring accurate goods in and out is maintained at all times in the system.
Coordinate logistics activities, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Utilise transportation management systems to optimise delivery schedules and routes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse to enhance productivity.
Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless operations.
Maintain accurate records using SAP and other relevant systems for reporting purposes.
Experience
Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role is essential. 3 years (required)
Strong knowledge of logistics, and warehouse operations is required.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
