Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations including stock management, delivery plans, driver and labour staff management, customer interactions, stock import planning, and coordinating with the purchase team. The successful candidate will also be involved in sales planning based on stock availability and upcoming stock.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stock Management:
Oversee the tyre size list, storage, and dispatch of part worn tyres.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are optimized.
Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
2. Delivery Plans:
Develop and execute efficient delivery schedules.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Monitor delivery performance and address any issues that arise.
3. Drivers Management:
Supervise and manage the drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training as necessary.
Ensure drivers are aware of delivery schedules and routes.
4. Labour Staff Management:
Lead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve operational goals.
Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse staff, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development programs.
5. Customer Interactions:
Interact with customers to ensure they receive the correct stock and address any concerns.
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
6. Stock Import Planning:
Coordinate with the purchase team to plan and manage stock imports.
Monitor stock arrival and update inventory records accordingly.
7. Sales Planning:
Work with the sales team to develop sales plans based on stock availability and upcoming stock.
Analyze sales trends and inventory data to forecast demand.
Ensure that the sales team is informed about current stock levels and anticipated arrivals.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in any inventory management software and MS Office.
Experience in the tyre industry, particularly part worn tyres, is preferred.
Valid driver's license is must
Education:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a
related field preferred.
