Job Description

Ensure the warehouse functions at optimal efficiency -- prioritizing customer satisfaction -- by effectively managing, organizing, and training warehouse personnel, as well as establishing, monitoring, and overseeing operational objectives.

Develop and sustain warehouse operational systems by assessing product handling and storage needs, equipment utilisation, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping techniques.

Train and supervise the warehouse team to address daily operational challenges and achieve both short- and long-term performance objectives.

Oversee daily operations while managing and controlling inventory and logistics.

Review and prepare workflows, staffing needs, space allocations, equipment configurations, and action plans that align with company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.

Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures, while adhering to legal regulations.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily warehouse operations, encompassing quality assurance, inventory management, space optimization, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.

Schedule and manage the warehouse team around the clock, overseeing the workflow and quality of work to enhance efficiency and reduce overtime.

Regularly inspect material handling equipment, tools, and machinery, and supervise general maintenance as needed.

Conduct regular meetings with warehouse leaders to evaluate productivity and formulate actionable plans for loss prevention.

Oversee and manage logistics for the transportation of products to customers and company facilities, maintaining communication with drivers and air partners to ensure timely delivery of packages.

Required skills and qualifications

A minimum of five years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment managing hourly employees.

Proficiency in warehouse procedures and policies.

Strong problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.

Capability to collaborate effectively with all levels of company personnel.

Ability to provide constructive feedback, both in written and verbal forms.

Support and elevate KPIs and present them to senior management.

Preferred skills and qualifications




Experienced in logistics or supply chain management within a fast environment Proficiency with SCM+ for warehouses Ability to communicate at all levels and with valued customers WMS and Scanner knowledge. Experienced in food or motor logistics industry an advantage.
