We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse, ensuring efficient processes in shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This role requires strong leadership abilities, a keen understanding of logistics and supply chain management, and proficiency in warehouse management systems.
Role Responsibilities:
Manage the daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service - 7 days per week outfit
Schedule and oversee warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime, reducing costs if necessary.
Investigate accidents and troubleshooting problems.
Ensure all regular servicing and repairs too MHE are carried out.
To ensure that all team members are trained and qualified on equipment, and to ensure that refresher training is planned in good time to remain compliant.
Liaise with customers on deliveries and outbound product, making sure efficient processes are introduced, embedded and complied with.
Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone.
Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress. Complete all probations, 121 meetings, PDPs and annual reviews as and when required.
Ensure weekly pest control audits are completed
Communicate effectively with the supervisors and the wider team
Oversee and ensure that all BRC paperwork is completed accurately and on time
Lead and participate in all site audits, whether customer, BRC and other entity base. To be a role model and ensure health standards, safety and security procedures are followed and to ensure stock levels for each customer are correct and regularly checked.
Be flexible to support the wider group with resources as and when requested, and able to do so
Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse management
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of profit loss management within a warehouse setting.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems and transportation management systems.
Experience in shipping and receiving processes is essential.
Knowledge of logistics principles and supply chain operations is advantageous.
Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
