Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy warehouse in Fareham. This is a key role within a fast-paced civil engineering business, ensuring the smooth movement of materials, plant, and equipment that support our project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Daily management and general upkeep of a busy warehouse

Coordinating all inbound and outbound deliveries

Managing plant and equipment returns, including tracking and condition reporting

Conducting regular stock checks and stock takes to maintain accurate records

Liaising with haulage companies and suppliers to schedule collections and drop-offs

Logging and recording all deliveries accurately using internal systems

Attending Teams calls and occasional client meetings to support project requirements

Working closely with the operations team to ensure projects have the materials and equipment they need

Maintaining a safe, organised, and compliant warehouse environment

Requirements

Strong computer literacy (essential)

Clean driving licence (essential)

Forklift licence/experience (required)

Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or plant management

Confident communicator, comfortable on Teams and in client-facing situations

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-moving environment

Working Hours

7:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (includes 1 hour for lunch)

Overtime may be required during busy periods
