Known for quality products and reliable service, we are now seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead operations at our busy Leyton warehouse. A full UK driving licence and experience with safe heavy lifting are essential for this role.
About the Role
As Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our warehouse operations -- including goods-in, stock management, picking, packing, and dispatch. This is a hands-on role involving the handling and movement of large domestic appliances, so experience with safe heavy lifting is essential, along with a full UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching white and brown goods
Lead, support, and organise a small warehouse team
Maintain accurate stock levels, records, and regular stock checks
Route daily deliveries, ensuring vans are loaded correctly and schedules are met
Coordinate deliveries and collections with suppliers, couriers, and installation teams
Manage damaged goods, faulty returns, and ensure correct documentation
Ensure all appliances are handled safely and stored correctly to prevent damage
Carry out regular checks of company vehicles for safety, condition, and cleanliness
Implement and uphold all warehouse health & safety standards
Optimise warehouse space, layout, and workflow
Liaise with sales and customer service teams to support accurate and timely order fulfilment
Continually review and improve processes for efficiency and service quality
Skills & Experience Required
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Heavy lifting experience and ability to safely handle large appliances (essential)
Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role
Experience within the appliance, electrical, or trade supply sector (desirable)
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
Good understanding of stock control and warehouse systems
Competent using inventory or warehouse management software
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a hands-on approach
Working knowledge of health & safety regulations
