Warehouse Manager - Walkers Transport, Lichfield

Salary: 40,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, (days)

Walkers Transport, a leading name in palletised freight distribution and logistics, is looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to join our team at our busy Lichfield depot.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced, 24-hour operation, managing warehouse activities to ensure an efficient and safe working environment. You'll work closely with warehouse and transport teams to deliver high levels of service to our customers and network partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations within a 24-hour environment.

Lead, motivate, and support warehouse staff to achieve operational targets.

Ensure the accurate and timely loading and unloading of vehicles within the pallet network.

Maintain compliance with health and safety standards and company procedures.

Plan and coordinate warehouse activities to meet service levels and deadlines.

Work collaboratively with the Transport and Customer Service teams to maintain operational efficiency.

Monitor and manage warehouse performance, identifying areas for improvement.

About You:

Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management, ideally within a pallet network or transport environment.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.

Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

Flexible attitude to working hours to meet business needs.

Understanding of health and safety and warehouse best practices.
