VisionEvents is a full event production agency and audio visual equipment hire specialist with over 40 years of producing high end seamless events across the UK and Europe. With a reputation for technical excellence and exceptional service, we're seeking a highly organised AV Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic team in Edinburgh.
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, coordinating logistics, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, complying with statutory regulations and managing the efficient preparation and return of AV equipment for events. You'll work closely with our Facilities Manager, Warehouse Technicians, Project Managers & AV Technicians to support successful event execution.
Main duties include,
Overseeing, co-ordinating and managing all warehouse operations including equipment preparation, dispatch and returns
Lead and manage all warehouse personnel, including crew and freelancers
Manage health & safety inductions and training
Co-ordinate logistics for load in/load out of trucks
Co-ordinate and assist with scanning out/in of equipment
Managing set and staging item preps
Co-ordinating, managing and assisting with loading/unloading of equipment on to vehicles, promoting safe working procedures.
Assisting with ongoing preventative maintenance for hire stock items.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
Managing fleet vehicle checks and ensuring they are kept roadworthy condition.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, a team player with strong leadership and communication skills.
Skills and experience preferred,
Previous experience of warehousing and logistics - preferably in live events/audio visual production.
Knowledge of audio-visual technology
Experience managing a team in a busy fast-paced environment
Be able to work in a relatively physically demanding role, with daily handling of heavy flight cases and equipment
Be able to carry out basic equipment maintenance
Valid UK driving licence
Hours will be based on a 45-hour week (incl paid break). Due to the nature of our business and according to the workload additional working hours may be necessary. Working hours will be varied and may include unsocial hours and weekends.
