Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient logistics processes. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, warehouse systems, and process optimisation to support our business growth and operational excellence.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfilment. Supervise warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of productivity and safety. Manage transportation logistics using systems such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise supply chain efficiency. Implement process improvements to enhance workflow, reduce costs, and increase accuracy across warehouse activities. Utilise ERP systems like AS400 to monitor stock levels, process orders, and generate reports. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including forklift operation standards. Maintain accurate records of shipping & receiving activities and manage stock levels effectively. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehouse processes and optimise utilisation of resources.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of profit & loss management related to warehouse operations. Expertise in logistics, supply chain management, and transportation planning. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400, and Process Improvement methodologies. Familiarity with 3PL providers and transportation management systems (TMS). Skilled in shipping & receiving procedures, inventory control, and forklift operation. Experience with warehouse experience programmes and continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to analyse data for process optimisation and operational efficiency.
