Reports To: Station Manager
Employment Type: Part-time (20 hours) / Shift-based/0500-0915 or 0600-1015
We are looking for a reliable, focused person who can work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be involved in a live parcel sortation operation, ensuring parcels are scanned and loaded in a safe and timely fashion.
Responsibilities:
Safely offload Cargo Containers of parcels onto moving conveyer belts.
Safely load parcels into designated bays.
To scan and check parcels as they pass through sortation.
To drive and operate specialist equipment to assist with the loading and moving of cargo.
Personnel must maintain high standards of safety and security at all times.
Work both independently and/or as part of a team, as required, to achieve the highest levels of productivity and meet operational deadlines.
Report any equipment malfunctions to Supervisors.
Warehouse must be always kept clean and tidy, and daily clean up must take place after each morning operation.
Report any damaged goods to supervisor.
Follow workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
Qualifications:
A full driving licence.
Previous warehouse experience desirable however not essential
Ability to work on own initiative.
Good team player
Ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales.
