Overview

We are seeking dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our Rainham Store. The ideal candidate will possess experience with warehouse control and retail shop floor display. This role involves various tasks related to deliveries and stock management, ensuring that our warehouse and shop floor operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Hours are flexible between 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Handle materials with care, ensuring they are stored correctly to optimise space and accessibility. Assist in the receiving of products, verifying quantities and conditions of items. Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Build shop floor pallets and displays as needed, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Requirements

A current Forklift counterbalance licence and Pallet Truck experience is essential. A driving licence is required as cover at other stores is occasionally required. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift. Strong skills in materials handling and stock management practices. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are required.
