We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficient materials handling, stock management, and supporting shipping and receiving operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and mechanical tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics processes. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with previous warehouse experience or relevant construction and mechanical knowledge.
This job requires to work 5 days a week (3hours a day).
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials.
Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate inventory records.
Handle materials with care, including lifting heavy loads and performing manual handling tasks in line with health and safety standards.
Assist with picking and packing orders accurately for shipping, ensuring timely dispatch.
Support shipping and receiving activities by inspecting incoming goods, verifying deliveries against purchase orders, and organising outgoing shipments.
Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on warehouse equipment when necessary.
Stock shelves systematically, maintaining organisation and accessibility of stored items.
Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse operations and maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific systems.
Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous; certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Knowledge of materials handling, stock management, and basic mechanical skills are desirable.
Experience in construction or heavy lifting roles can be beneficial due to the physical demands of the position.
