Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various materials handling tasks, including stock management, shipping and receiving, and operating warehouse equipment. Duties

Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items in accordance with order specifications. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software to track inventory movements and update records accurately. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, preparing items for dispatch or receipt. Conduct materials handling tasks, including moving heavy loads safely within the warehouse. Maintain organisation of the warehouse space, ensuring all areas are clean and hazards are minimised. Perform routine mechanical checks on equipment and report any faults promptly. Support warehouse management in stocktaking activities and cycle counts. Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Proficiency in operating forklifts is desirable; valid certification is advantageous. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 is beneficial. Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction tools can be an asset. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical fitness to perform manual handling duties throughout the shift. Pay: 12.50-14.50 per hour
