Warehouse Operative



In this role, you will be essential in driving improvement opportunities and promoting continuous improvement across our site.

As a Warehouse Operative you will utilise available planning systems to identify demand and translate this into achievable production and material plans, along with schedules that optimally balance customer service and operational cost efficiency.

You will manage material risks within the department and liaise with purchasing to achieve customer service and stock targets. You will measure, minimise, and publish expected obsolete/over stocks and champion ongoing communication with the materials/purchasing teams to ensure accurate exchange of information.

Other duties include proposing and implementing continuous improvements in the department.

Shifts are on a rotating basis within the hours of 6:00am and 12:00am, with some weeks worked over 4 days, giving you the Friday off.



Key Responsibilities



Facilitation of material flow and Co-ordinate warehouse picking Maximise all waste streams and ensure maximum revenue is always recovered Manage and supply Kanban levels to the desired level to minimise downtime Manage all goods in activities informing people of materials and ensuring any paperwork is passed onto the relevant areas Administer all customer and supplier returns effectively Housekeeping Standards - Manage the 5S housekeeping for the materials department Ensure the outside yard is well organised kept tidy Work with all key stakeholders to drive the OTIF measure Establish SOP documentation for all Material Processes Identify & drive continuous improvement projects to support the business The implementation and maintenance of accurate perpetual stock counting and control

What You Bring



Forklift truck licence is essential Proactive positive attitude with a desire to want to improve and do things better Good interpersonal skill to be able to influence and communicate across all levels of the business Good attention to detail whilst working in an organised manner, prioritising own workload effectively Ability to work on own initiative
