Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and mechanical operations within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with prior warehouse experience or those eager to learn new skills in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of products. Operate warehouse management systems (such as AS400) to track inventory movements and update records efficiently. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods. Handle materials safely, including heavy lifting and mechanical tasks related to warehouse operations. Maintain organisation within the warehouse, including cleaning work areas and ensuring safety standards are met. Support construction-related tasks when required, applying mechanical knowledge as needed. Utilise warehouse equipment effectively to optimise workflow and productivity.

Requirements

Prior experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Proficiency with forklift operation is desirable; valid certification is advantageous. Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 is beneficial. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction tools is a plus. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management activities. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment. Willingness to undertake training in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and other warehouse procedures.
