We have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our busy Parts Team. This role is predominantly warehouse based but will require someone to assist and work across the Parts Department. If you have a strong interest in motor vehicles and have a team player attitude this may be the role for you!
Main Duties:
Accurately inventory parts for storage in our parts warehouse following correct procedures to ensure all parts are correctly described, graded, allocated a location and labelled with an identity tag.
Carry out quality checks; ensuring all parts are clean, suitable for resale and allocated the correct grade following associated processes.
Daily use of inventory software systems and databases in order to carry out warehouse tasks.
Ensuring parts are physically stored following company procedures with attention taken to maximise storage space while preserving the condition of parts.
Assisting in imaging parts as part of the inventory processes and in preparation of our e-commerce listings following correct procedures in accordance with guidelines.
Assisting in grading and testing parts following correct procedures and in compliance with VRA standards.
Assisting in picking sold parts in preparation for daily courier deliveries and walk-in customers.
Assisting with quality checks, re-grading and administration duties following our parts return processes, ensuring databases are updated accordingly.
Maintaining overall organisation of the storage warehouse; ensuring storage bays are kept clean & tidy for continual safety & security, while maximising efficiency.
Liaise and communicate effectively with team leaders and colleagues to ensure the above tasks are carried out effectively.

Skills, Experience & Requirements
Full UK driving licence.
Sound knowledge and interest in vehicles and their parts which will mature throughout your role.
Experience in a similar warehouse role and/or motor industry will serve as a strong advantage.
Strong organisational skills and time management is a must for this role; you will be expected to prioritise and keep on top of your workload effectively, both independently and as part of a small team.
The ability to learn and fully utilise software systems and databases required for this role is a must.

Additional Notes
Training will be given in the use of software systems and relevant company procedures in order to carry out this job role. Fork lift truck training will be considered for candidates that do not hold a valid certificate following a successful probation period if deemed necessary. Salary will be discussed at interview and is dependent on experience and skill set of the candidate. This role includes outdoor work in all weathers. This role is subject to a satisfactory Right to Work and reference checks.
