This role is a critical control point in ensuring finished goods are stored, handled, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. The Warehouse Operative is accountable for maintaining stock integrity, executing quality checks, and supporting the smooth flow of materials in and out of the facility. This is a detail-critical role that directly influences product quality, customer satisfaction, and audit compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and prep finished goods for shipping and distribute raw materials in designated warehouse locations.
Perform continuous visual checks for damage, contamination, or mislabelling during goods receipt and dispatch
Prepare orders for dispatch with full accuracy and count integrity.
Ensure pallets, cartons, and outer cases meet specification, are correctly labelled, undamaged, and match batch documentation.
Complete warehouse check sheets, counts, and sign-offs in line with SOPs and BRCGS requirements.
Maintain warehouse housekeeping, including GMP-compliant cleaning throughout the shift.
Support stock rotation (FIFO), inventory checks, and cycle counts to minimise discrepancies.
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
Work closely with Production, QA, and Logistics teams to escalate issues decisively and prevent rework or waste.
Operate in line with all site policies for hygiene, PPE, personal conduct, and traceability.

Experience
Previous experience in food, FMCG, or nutraceutical warehousing is advantageous but not essential.
Full training provided on GMP, warehouse operations, and site-specific QA requirements.

Progression Pathway
As production expands, the role can step into shift-based operations, cross-train into QA checks, or transition into Logistics Coordinator or Team Leader development depending on performance and site demand.
