Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various materials handling tasks, stock management, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced environment, supporting the efficient movement and storage of goods. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right applicant.

Duties

Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts Managing stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items Operating warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory control and order processing Assisting with shipping and receiving procedures to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods Utilising materials handling equipment to move products safely within the warehouse Maintaining organisation and cleanliness of the warehouse environment Conducting routine inspections of mechanical equipment and reporting any faults Supporting warehouse management with stock counts and inventory audits Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Valid forklift licence is desirable but not mandatory; training can be arranged for suitable candidates Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction or heavy lifting tasks is advantageous Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 is a plus Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards
