We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently processing the movement of goods, in and out bound, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse distribution processes. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse systems and safety protocols, with opportunities for progression. The Warehouse Operative plays a critical role in maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting order fulfillment, and ensuring the safe handling of materials within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Unloading and loading of inward and outward bound deliveries.
Goods inward procedures to include creating GRN's on SAGE 200.
Stocking of parts and processing customer orders.
Use of picking lists to pick & pack goods/kits for customer orders. Preparing orders for shipment with precision to meet order fulfillment deadlines.
Daily rolling stock counts (Cycle Counting).
Local deliveries as and when required to service key customer requirements.
General Housekeeping and stores duties.
Experience of above duties preferred, but training will be provided for applicants who have not previously worked in a stores environment.
Stock shelves and organise warehouse space to optimize storage capacity and accessibility.
Assist with materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, packaging, and assembly as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and mechanical knowledge requirements.
Collaborate with warehouse management to improve operational workflows and implement best practices in warehouse management system usage.
Experience
Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is preferred.
Hands-on experience operating equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, or pallet jacks is highly desirable.
Knowledge of safety standards related to warehouse environments.
Previous roles involving order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, or materials handling are beneficial.
