Overview:

Warehouse Operative


Humdinger Ltd, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25





Position type: Permanent Full-Time


Pay range: 14.99 per hour (31,179.20 annually)


Breaks: 1 x 30 minute break and 2 x 15 minute break


Shift pattern: 12-hour rotating shifts (days 6am-6pm & nights 6pm-6am) with NO Friday night, Saturday day, Saturday night or Sunday day shift working.

+ Week 1: 3 day shifts, followed by 2 days off + Week 2: 3 night shifts, followed by 5 days off
+ Week 3: 2 day shifts + 2 night shifts, followed by 5 days off, then repeat


Closing date: Monday 5th January 2026


Responsibilities:
Report hazard spots and near misses to support compliance with HSE responsibilities. Ensure material handling equipment is charged and operational; report faults immediately. Load/unload vehicles promptly according to daily/weekly plans. Book goods in accurately upon receipt, maintain DES records, and investigate/report discrepancies. Perform daily aisle checks, monthly stock counts, and ensure all orders are picked accurately. Adhere to food safety, GMP, hygiene, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Essential:

Proven experience in warehouse operations Strong IT and computer skills Excellent communication abilities

Desirable:

Counterbalance Forklift Licence Flexi Truck Forklift Licence Electric Pump Truck Licence Experience with QAD or similar warehouse management systems Food Safety Level 2 Certification Health and Safety Level 2 Certification HACCP Awareness
