Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, shipping and receiving, and inventory control. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Utilise a warehouse management system for tracking inventory and managing stock levels. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking and organisation within the warehouse. Perform picking and packing duties for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct regular inventory checks to monitor stock levels and report discrepancies as needed. Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with materials handling techniques is advantageous. Experience with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with an emphasis on safety practices. Background in construction or mechanical fields may be beneficial for certain tasks within the role. Pay: 12.21-17.64 per hour
