Job purpose

:

To carry out all warehouse functions to cGMP standards

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:



1. Working as part of a team, follow instructions from Warehouse Team Leader on warehouse duties and tasks

2. Carry out all inwards and outwards materials, processes and recording all inventory data transactions in an accurate and timely manner

3. Operate all forklift trucks and mechanical handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner, complete and log daily operating checks in accordance with the training provided

4. Locate and retrieve all materials, packaging, and non-GMP items as required from static racking

5. Carry out loading/unloading of delivery vehicles and the re-palletisation of materials as required

6. Pick and label materials for despatch according to the agreed delivery schedules.

7. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse area

8. Provide support for other areas of the business when required.

9. Follow Company safety policies, systems of work, procedures, signage and guidelines

10. Attend training and to develop skill and knowledge

Person profile - Warehouse Operative



Personality:

Motivated individual with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on performing effectively. Can critically assess own performance and contribute to determining own development needs as well as that of the team. Good communicator who is comfortable dealing and communicating with all people of all levels. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Able to get on with others and be a team player as well as a team leader. Willing to take the initiative. Able to see where improvements can be made and follow through on them.

Personal Situation:

Flexible. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.

Specific Job Skills:



Required:

A good understanding cGMP and can consistently apply the principles

Experience of working in a warehouse environment

Good knowledge of inventory control practices (FEFO)

Quality focussed

Able to communicate well and in a timely manner with all levels

Understands and demonstrates the principles of H&S in a Warehouse environment

Counterbalance forklift truck experience.

Desired:

Experience of working within a cGMP warehouse environment

Reach / pedestrian reach forklift truck experience

Documentation skills will be considered an advantage

Experience working with electronic inventory control systems, (SAP, hand-held scanners)

Computer skills:



Must be competent in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, e-mail and internet.

Literacy and Numeracy:



Must be competent in writing reports both for internal use and for customers. Must be competent in the interpretation of analytical data.

Business Presentation Skills

:

Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator.
