We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving activities. Experience with warehouse management systems and mechanical knowledge is advantageous. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic logistics environment, supporting efficient storage and distribution processes.
Duties
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (If licensed)
Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems such as AS400
Handle materials including loading, unloading, and moving goods within the warehouse
Perform picking and packing of orders for dispatch
Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, ensuring accurate documentation
Stock shelves and organise inventory to optimise space utilisation
Conduct basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance
Support construction-related tasks as required for warehouse organisation or expansion projects
Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times during manual handling and equipment operation
Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential;
Familiarity with materials handling, stock control, and shipping & receiving procedures is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and documentation
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
