Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The role involves physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, and requires a proactive approach to safety and organisation.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where applicable Handle materials efficiently, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders Maintain accurate inventory records and organise stock within the warehouse Support shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods Operate forklifts safely to move heavy or bulky items around the warehouse Assist with construction or refurbishment tasks within the warehouse as needed Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed during daily operations Support general warehouse organisation, including stocking shelves and maintaining cleanliness

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable Valid forklift licence or certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good understanding of materials handling procedures and safety standards Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Physical fitness to handle demanding tasks throughout shifts

Pay: 12.21-12.71 per hour
