Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving operations within our warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and mechanical processes, contributing to the efficient operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where certified Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and process orders accurately Pick and pack items for shipment, ensuring correct quantities and packaging standards Manage stock levels through regular stocking, replenishment, and inventory checks Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and verification of incoming and outgoing goods Handle materials safely, employing proper lifting techniques for heavy loads Maintain a clean and organised warehouse workspace to meet health and safety standards Perform basic mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting as required Utilise AS400 systems for data entry and inventory control purposes

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of forklift operation (certification preferred) is advantageous Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 is desirable Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction or materials handling is beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order processing Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced setting
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-18.89 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
