We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, managing stock, and supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilising various skills including forklift operation and warehouse management systems. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with warehouse experience or those eager to develop their skills within the logistics sector.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing activities Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory control and order processing Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment Support in mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance Follow health and safety regulations at all times during daily operations

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics preferred Proficiency in operating forklifts and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 is advantageous Strong materials handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment is desirable Experience in stock management, shipping & receiving, and picking & packing processes Knowledge of construction or materials handling techniques is a plus Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
