Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling materials efficiently and maintaining accurate stock levels. Previous warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, along with familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400. Duties

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where certified. Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items. Operate warehouse management systems such as AS400 to track inventory movements. Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, preparing items for dispatch or receipt. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment. Conduct routine mechanical checks on equipment and report any issues promptly. Support construction or refurbishment activities within the warehouse as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in a warehouse environment is preferred. Valid forklift licence is desirable; however, training can be provided for suitable candidates. Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction tools is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout shifts. Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 is beneficial. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management tasks. Good physical fitness to handle manual handling duties and long periods on foot. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 48 per week
