About the Job Role



Overview



As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our site, from supplying materials to production to maintaining high standards of organisation and safety across the warehouse.

Operatives need to be organised, proactive, and hands-on, with a strong eye for detail. A counterbalance forklift license and previous warehouse experience are highly desirable. You should also be comfortable using Warehouse Management Systems (preferably SAP) and have solid IT skills.

Operatives will work closely with colleagues across all departments, so a positive attitude, collaborative working manner, and strong communication skills are key to thriving in this fast-paced environment.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



Warehousing Operations



Receive, store, and distribute inbound materials and finished goods safely and efficiently Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and other handling equipment in line with safety procedures Maintain accurate stock records using both the Warehouse Management System and paper-based processes Perform stock checks, investigate discrepancies, and ensure best practice stock control (e.g., FIFO) Handle, label, and move goods securely, including lifting up to 25kg Uphold quality standards with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

Line Feeding & Logistics



Supply raw materials to production lines and manage the flow of finished goods into storage Provide a responsive and reliable service to support production efficiency Report and record any material issues, quality concerns, or required substitutions Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas throughout the warehouse

Part Production Support



Carry out light processing of raw materials as required, including: Carding (fibre processing) Rod bending (perimeter rods) Cutting (fibre rolls)

Site Services



Support wider site operations, including:

Managing waste streams in line with the Vispring Waste Management Strategy Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site presentation Providing ad-hoc assistance to other departments as needed, including production core skills

Compliance & Health & Safety



Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Complete required checks diligently and report any accidents, damage, or hazards immediately Ensure all equipment and materials are handled safely and correctly

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

Education



Fluent in English (E) Good written, numerical and verbal skills (D)

Technical



Counterbalance Forklift Driving Licence (E) Proficient in Microsoft Excel (D) Experience using WMS systems, ideally SAP (D) Knowledge of Vispring production processes (D)
