Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to materials handling, stock management, and shipping operations within a busy warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous warehouse experience or mechanical knowledge to develop their skills further. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting, ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods while maintaining high safety standards.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently. Manage stock levels and ensuring accurate inventory records. Handle materials throughout the warehouse, including loading, unloading, and moving items as required. Perform picking and packing of orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, including documentation and label creation. Using Company systems for inventory control and data entry tasks. Conduct routine maintenance checks on mechanical equipment and report any faults promptly. Support stock organisation through stocking shelves and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Assist with construction or assembly tasks when necessary, applying mechanical knowledge as needed. Perform heavy lifting safely during daily operations to support warehouse logistics.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential. Proficiency in operating forklifts is highly desirable; valid certification is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the shift. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for stock management tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling duties regularly.
