We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our fast-paced warehouse packing and distribution team. If you enjoy a physical job, working independently and being part of a team; this job could be right for you. In this role you will have a varied role dealing with the conversion of technical fabric to final product and the picking and packing of a variety of items that are manufactured within the business and received from external suppliers.
Role and Responsibilities:
Picking and allocation of fabric products to printed pick lists
Packing and labelling products ready for despatch
Communication with the sales and production teams to co-ordinate customer orders
Regular stock control of dedicated product area, ensuring accuracy and maintenance of housekeeping at all times
Reporting and investigation of product stock discrepancies
Use of mechanical rolling and folding machines
Assistance with goods inwards duties; receipting and booking in of stock
Working within team to ensure that the department is continuously improving business standards.
Necessary skills needed for the role:
Previous proven experience working in a picking, packing and distribution/goods inwards environment (minimum 1 year).
Computer literate, intermediate level (min)
Ability to clearly follow written and verbal instructions.
Have a strong eye for detail
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with a variety of departments
The capability to remain calm under pressure
A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
The ability to prioritise and organise your own workload
Basic mechanical experience.
Desirable:
Current FLT licence
Experience working within a textile manufacturing environment
