Due to retirement we are seeking a reliable and skilled warehouse operative who is also able to drive a 7.5 Tonne vehicle to cover holidays and occasional one off deliveries. Joining our small and friendly team, the role will involve ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage, rotation and despatch of our products as well as serving customers on our busy trade counter.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm with 1/2 an hour for lunch each day.
Duties
Picking and carefully packaging our products to ensure they arrive at our customers premises in perfect condition
Accurately completing paperwork relating to goods in and goods out
Using a computer to check stock levels
Serving customers, ensuring a professional and prompt service is always maintained for our trade counter
7.5 tonne driving to cover the holiday of our driver and occasional one off deliveries
Ensure the warehouse is a clean, tidy and safe working environment, adhering to Health and Safety procedures.
Skills / Experience
Experience in driving 7.5 tonne vehicles with a valid driver's licence.
Familiarity with forklift operation is highly desirable.
Background in warehouse experience, including being able to safely lift heavy / awkward loads and able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
