Overview

We are seeking a reliable and proactive

Warehouse & Field Operative

to join the MITAD operations team. This dual-role position combines warehouse-based responsibilities with onsite customer work, including IT asset collections, decommissioning, and data destruction activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring IT assets are handled securely, professionally, and in line with MITAD's operational and compliance standards.

Full training will be provided for all aspects of the role.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

Book incoming IT assets into the MITAD ERP system, ensuring accurate asset identification, serial number capture, and condition recording. Verify inbound and outbound shipments against documentation and report discrepancies or damages. Pick and pack IT assets for customer orders, ensuring accuracy, secure packaging, and appropriate labelling. Prepare equipment for dispatch, including palletising and supporting shipping documentation. Organise and maintain warehouse storage areas to ensure efficient space utilisation and clear asset segregation. Maintain accurate inventory records and support regular stock checks and audits. Follow data security, health & safety, and environmental procedures at all times. Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised warehouse environment.

Field & Onsite Operations

Drive company vans to customer sites to collect IT equipment and assets. Carry out onsite IT asset decommissioning activities under supervision and in line with documented procedures. Perform onsite data destruction processes using approved methods and tools (full training provided). Load, secure, and transport IT assets safely from customer sites to MITAD facilities. Represent MITAD professionally when working at customer premises. Complete onsite documentation, asset lists, and chain-of-custody records accurately. Follow customer security requirements, site rules, and health & safety policies at all times.

Experience

Previous warehouse, logistics, or field-based experience is beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided for data destruction, ITAD processes, and onsite decommissioning work. A full UK driving licence is required and confidence driving company vans is essential. Experience handling IT equipment (laptops, desktops, servers, networking hardware) is advantageous. Familiarity with ERP systems or inventory management tools is desirable but not required. Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling asset data and documentation. Ability to follow structured processes and comply with security and data handling procedures. Physically capable of manual handling and moving equipment safely. A professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude with a willingness to learn.

Pay: 12.31 per hour
