Overview


We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role involves handling a variety of warehouse tasks, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining a safe and organised environment. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and skills in warehouse management, materials handling, and equipment operation. This is a paid position suitable for individuals eager to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation.

Responsibilities



Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts Managing stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of products Operating warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory control and order processing Assisting with shipping and receiving procedures to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods Conducting materials handling tasks, including lifting heavy items safely and efficiently Maintaining organisation within the warehouse, including cleaning work areas and ensuring safety protocols are followed Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance or troubleshooting as needed Supporting construction or refurbishment activities within the warehouse environment when required

Skills



Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments Proficiency with forklift operation and safety procedures Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and manual dexterity Mechanical knowledge beneficial for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance Experience with stock management, picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes Knowledge of construction or refurbishment activities within a warehouse setting is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment with attention to safety standards

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
