Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to materials handling, stock management, and shipping operations within a busy warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management systems and mechanical operations, contributing to the smooth flow of goods and materials. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with forklift operation are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques or forklift equipment Stock shelves and organise inventory efficiently within the warehouse Operate warehouse management system (WMS) to track stock levels and movements Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch with accuracy and attention to detail Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all documentation is correct Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations Perform basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance Utilise AS400 systems for inventory control and order processing as required Handle heavy lifting safely during daily operations, ensuring minimal risk of injury

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific systems such as WMS and AS400 Valid forklift licence is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction or materials handling is beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift Good organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order fulfilment Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a warehouse setting Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
