We develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of high-performance wood finishes as well as offering a bespoke colour-matching service for paints, stains and tinted lacquers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to join the business as a Warehouse Operative on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
Accurately pick and palletise, predominantly hazardous (UN Class 1263), goods throughout the day for customers and internal branches
Ensure orders are picked accurately and that the materials dispatched match those noted on the documentation for product code, pack size, number of units, correct catalyst and branch name/number
Goods must be picked and packed in a safe and efficient manner, taking into account vehicle space/limitations
Ensure picking sheets are completed in accordance with goods picked/shortages, and hand to Supervisor
Run picking sheets for allocated depots in accordance with cut-off times
Once all orders are complete, wrap and label pallets in the order of vehicle departure
Assist in loading/unloading of vehicles, whether internal or third party carrier
Assist in bringing finished goods from production down to the warehouse for picking the same/following day
Highlight any stock discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor
Ensure no heavily damaged, or leaking, stock is sent to branch
Complete all picking sheets and delivery notes appropriately and legibly
Assist with the unloading and put away of all goods inwards as required - ensuring all paperwork is accurately checked and signed, noting and reporting any discrepancies
Ensure any samples, patterns, and products from the branch network are handed to the Fastmatch department without delay
Highlight any stock approaching or beyond its useable shelf-life and report any damages to the Warehouse Supervisor
Partake in monthly stock takes and complete mandatory paid overtime, if necessary, to ensure completion
To follow and promote all health, safety and environmental guidance when working in the Warehouse, and be aware of emergency and spill procedure
Use the D365 system to print picking sheets and delivery notes, and understand the stock control and movement of goods as required
Skills/Requirements
2 years experience in a similar role
Experience with Microsoft D365 Desirable
FLT Counterbalance License
