Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, managing stock, and supporting various warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient logistics processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience or mechanical knowledge to develop their skills within a busy environment.

Duties

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory control and order processing Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations Maintain organisation of the warehouse space, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met Support in construction-related tasks when required, utilising mechanical knowledge for repairs or adjustments Perform heavy lifting as needed, following proper manual handling procedures Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and productivity

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar environment Proficiency with forklift operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms Strong materials handling skills, including stocking, picking & packing, and load & unload procedures Mechanical knowledge advantageous for equipment maintenance or minor repairs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Good organisational skills with attention to detail Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods Excellent teamwork and communication skills
