Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Warehouse Operative and Van Driver. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse operations, including materials handling, shipping and receiving, and stock management. This role would require you to drive a van to make local collections and deliveries. You would also be expected to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment efficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other machinery to load and unload goods safely. Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate stock levels. Perform picking and packing of orders with attention to detail to meet customer requirements. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented. Conduct regular stocking of shelves and maintain an organised warehouse environment. Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and efficiency within the warehouse. Maintain mechanical knowledge of equipment used in the warehouse for troubleshooting purposes. Operation of a vehicle in order to make local collections and deliveries.

Experience

Proven experience in a warehouse setting is essential. Familiarity with materials handling techniques, forklift and other warehouse equipment operation. Minimum 3 years driving experience.

Pay: From 12.50 per hour
