We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving activities. Duties
Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, locations, and movements
Pick and pack orders accurately for dispatch, ensuring timely delivery to customers
Manage stock levels through regular stocking and replenishment tasks
Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and quality checks
Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or maintenance on warehouse equipment
Handle materials efficiently, ensuring safe practices during heavy lifting and movement of goods
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Support warehouse management system (AS400) operations for inventory control and reporting
Qualifications
Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Proficiency in operating forklifts is highly desirable; valid certification is advantageous
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 is beneficial
Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction can be an asset for maintenance tasks
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and stock management
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks throughout the shift
