Purpose of the job

To perform all duties pertaining to the safe and efficient receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for operation of MHE and other equipment to achieve quality and quantity of the warehouse work plan; Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles using Material handling equipment as and when required; Moving and storing products in correct warehouse areas; Processing and picking orders in a timely manner achieving targets as required; Flexibility of deployment by covering relevant functions within warehouse departments, such as goods receiving, put away, storage, picking, material handling, palletising, and dispatch as and when required; Ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with departmental standards; Participate in inventory counts, blank bin checks and other warehouse related activities; Adhere to all departmental work instructions, SOP's, OPL's and business policies and procedures; Keep own working areas clean and tidy at all times; Comply with hygiene and Health & Safety standards as stated by company policy; To carry out all responsibilities and practices with the aim of producing food safely and to required internal & external specifications within a HACCP framework Ensuring the food safety, integrity, authenticity and quality in all our processes and food production.

GENERAL SKILLS:

Basic verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work within a team

Manual dexterity

Trained in manual handling procedures

Basic food hygiene certificate

Health & Safety awareness, including COSHH familiarity

Exposure to similar work environment (minimum of 6 months)

Good understanding of product safety principles, e.g. HACCP

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to 35,763.00 per hour
